Dockmaster

George has been with the marina for over 14 years.  He grew up in South Beach with his family.  He got his first boat when he was 13 years old and fell in love with the ocean and the yachting industry.  He graduated from high school in South Beach and later moved to Gainesville to attend college.  After college he went into advertising for several years but the seas were calling him.  He returned to South Florida and got his first job at the Coconut Grove Isle Yacht Club.  After five years there he received a call from the Port Captain at Fisher Island Yacht Club where he stayed for 12 years in several different positions.

George left Fisher Island and took a year off sport fishing with his brother.  They purchased a 48’ Vicking and competed in tournament fishing.  In 1995 George started at Sunset Harbour Yacht Club as Assistant Dock Master and is proud to say that he loves it here and would not want to be in any other yacht club.
